Why whole-home here
The city's report describes its finished water as non-corrosive and well suited to washing and bathing. That is the plant's side. What reaches you still carries a chloramine residual, by design, to keep the water protected in the pipes. Whole-home filtration is about removing that residual from showers, laundry and every faucet, not about fixing a problem with the supply.
Households usually choose it because they notice the chemical smell in a hot shower, dislike the taste at every tap, or want filtered water for cooking at any sink.
What the system has to handle
- Chloramine: more stable than free chlorine, so the system needs the right media and enough contact time. See choosing a filter for chloramine.
- Free chlorine weeks: the city switches to free chlorine temporarily for maintenance, as it did from August 24 to September 14, 2025. A whole-home system covers both forms.
- Flow: the system must keep up with two showers and a washer at once without a pressure drop.
Fitting one into a Lake Worth Beach house
Many homes in the city are older, with main lines in tight spots. A whole-home system goes on the main line after the meter, usually outside or in a garage or utility area, with a bypass valve so water keeps flowing during service. Jorge looks at where the line enters, how much space there is, and whether a drain and outlet are nearby before recommending a model.
Condos and apartments usually cannot add main-line equipment. For those, under-sink RO is the practical route.
Pairing with drinking water
A whole-home system improves water everywhere. Some families also want lower total dissolved solids in their drinking water. That job belongs to an alkaline reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink. Lake Worth Beach water already includes RO-treated Floridan water in the blend, so start with the test and decide whether the extra step is worth it for you. Compare in whole-house filtration vs. RO.
Outside the city limits
If you live between Congress Avenue and I-95 north of Hypoluxo Road, you may be on Lake Worth Beach water even with a different mailing city. If your bill comes from another utility, Jorge works from that utility's report instead. The equipment choice follows the water, not the address.
Book the test
Jorge measures chloramine, pH, hardness and dissolved solids at your tap and gives you an itemized quote only if a system fits. Living Water offers financing through its financing partners; you apply with a credit application, and a co-applicant can apply with you. Call, text or WhatsApp Jorge at (305) 793-5974.
