The factors that move the price
- System type: under-sink RO, whole-home city water system, softening plant or well system.
- Size: bathrooms, occupants and main-line pipe size.
- Your water: Tamarac uses chloramine on both systems, which calls for chloramine-rated media.
- Install location: garage, side yard, or a tight villa utility area.
- Building rules: some condos limit what can be installed and where.
- Extras: refrigerator line, pre-filters, plumbing changes.
Tamarac-specific things that affect the quote
Two details come up often here. First, many Tamarac residents live in condos and villas, where an under-sink system avoids building-level approvals. Second, because the city partially softens its water to about 3.5 grains per gallon, a softener is often not part of the quote at all. That keeps a project focused on the problem you actually have.
What a good quote includes
- The exact model names and what each one is certified or designed to do.
- Installation labor and any plumbing changes.
- Replacement filter and service schedule.
- Warranty terms in writing.
- What is not included.

Ownership costs to ask about
The purchase is only part of it. Ask how often filters are replaced, what the membrane life is for RO, whether service visits are included, and what happens if your water changes. The annual cost of owning a whole-home filter guide lists the questions.
Financing
Living Water offers financing through its financing partners; you apply with a credit application, and a co-applicant can apply with you. Jorge can explain how that works when you review the quote.
Why two Tamarac homes get different quotes
Two neighbors can get different quotes for good reasons. One lives in a three-bathroom house west of US 441 and wants chloramine reduced at every shower plus RO in the kitchen. The other lives in a second-floor condo east of NW 31st Avenue and only wants better drinking water. Same city, very different projects. A fair quote reflects the home, the water test and what you asked for, and explains each line so you can compare. If a quote cannot tell you the model, the certifications and the filter schedule, ask for them before you sign anything.
