Start with the right report
Because two utilities serve the Juno Beach area, the first step is finding which one is yours. It is printed on your water bill.
- Town of Jupiter Utilities: annual Water Quality Report on the town's website; questions to 561-741-2735.
- Seacoast Utility Authority: annual Water Quality Report on sua.com; customer service at 561-627-2920.
The two utilities publish on slightly different schedules and formats, so compare the same year when you read them side by side.
What the reports already tell you
Jupiter's 2025 report lists chloramines at a highest running average of 2.99 ppm, sodium at 46.8 ppm and 90th percentile lead at 0.995 ppb. It names 12800 US-1 in Juno Beach as its highest-reading site for total trihalomethanes, at 1.58 ppb, far below the limit. Seacoast's 2025 report lists chloramines at 3.7 ppm, sodium at 35.5 ppm and 90th percentile lead at 1.6 ppb. All meet standards.
What Jorge checks at your home
- Chloramine at hot and cold taps.
- pH and TDS to see how water changes in your plumbing.
- Hardness to confirm whether softening is worth discussing (usually not here).
- Your setup: water heater, visible pipe, where equipment could go.
More in what happens during a home water assessment.
He writes down the time, the tap and which disinfectant reading he got, so a later retest is a fair comparison.
When to use a certified lab
An in-home screening is not a lab analysis. For lead, PFAS, bacteria or anything with a health standard, use a state-certified laboratory. For a private well, the Florida Department of Health recommends annual bacteria and nitrate testing. See home screening vs. lab analysis.
If your home is on a private well, the lab test is the foundation, and the in-home screening adds context about taste, hardness and iron.
Condo owners
Test your own unit's kitchen tap. Building pumps, risers and shared heaters can change what you get compared with the street. If neighbors report the same issue, tell the association and your utility.
Oceanfront buildings with booster pumps and rooftop or basement tanks can change water pressure and residence time, which can affect taste and chloramine at your tap.

Call, text or WhatsApp Jorge at (305) 793-5974. He tests at your tap, explains the numbers in plain words and recommends a system only if it fits.
