How Lake Park water affects upkeep
Prefilter life depends on chloramine and sediment; Seacoast's chloramine runs at about 3.6 to 3.8 ppm. Membrane life depends on dissolved solids and use. Jorge measures TDS at your tap so the replacement schedule is based on your water rather than a guess.
What the quote should list
- Model and stage list.
- Installation and any countertop drilling.
- Replacement schedule for each filter and the membrane.
- Warranty in writing.

Questions to ask
- How long do the filters last at my use?
- Who replaces them and how do I order?
- How much water goes to the drain?
- What happens if there is a leak?
Where RO fits in a Lake Park home
Most systems go under the kitchen sink. Some homeowners add a line to the refrigerator's ice maker, which affects tubing and installation time. In condos, the main limits are cabinet space and association rules. In older homes with original plumbing, a worn shut-off valve may need replacement before installation; ask whether that is included.
Seacoast's water is already low in fluoride and membrane-treated, so many local households choose RO mainly for taste and to stop buying bottled water. Knowing your goal keeps the system from being oversized.
Comparing RO with bottled water
Many Lake Park households weigh RO against buying bottled water or a delivery service. The fair comparison looks at your household's actual consumption, the filter replacement schedule and the convenience of a dedicated faucet. Our bottled water vs. RO calculator walks through it without assuming numbers for you.
What is not in an RO price. An RO system does not fix problems elsewhere in the house. If the complaint is a rotten-egg smell on hot water, that is the water heater; if it is orange stains outside, that is an irrigation well. Make sure the system you are pricing matches the problem you have.
