How the City's water affects running costs
Hallandale Beach's water is already low in dissolved solids, 79 ppm in the 2025 report, thanks to lime softening and nanofiltration. That is easy on an RO membrane. The chloramine residual, averaging 2.646 ppm, is handled by the carbon pre-filters, so their capacity and replacement interval deserve a close look in any quote.
Because the dissolved solids are already low, households sometimes ask whether RO is worth it here. That is a fair question: if chloramine taste is the only concern, a certified carbon filter may be enough, and Jorge will say so.
Tank or tankless
